What are the eligibility requirements to lease a car in Singapore?
Individual and corporate car leases are available to applicants who can provide a valid driving licence, have more than two years of driving experience, and are aged between 24 and 65. If you are not within age, we will still try to seek approval from our insurance but additional accident excess will apply.
Do I have to pay a down payment for leasing a car?
No, you don’t need to make a down payment when leasing a car. We only require a refundable deposit based on the lease duration—for example, a one-month deposit for leases of two years or less and a two-month deposit for leases of two years or more.
Do you accept foreign licences for car leasing?
Yes, we accept foreign licences for car leasing. Foreigners must present either their valid overseas driving licence or an international driving permit, along with their employment pass and passport. They are required to convert their licence into a local one if they intend to stay in Singapore for more than one year; the conversion must take place within six months of arrival.
Can I cancel or modify my car lease agreement?
In general, we do not allow changes to the lease duration. This is because our car rental service rates vary based on the lease period and market conditions at the time the agreement is signed. However, in unforeseen circumstances, we do allow a swap of lessees within the agreement or can assist in finding someone to take over the lease, though a penalty may apply.
Can I test drive the car before renting it?
Yes, it is recommended that you test drive the car before leasing it. This allows you to get a feel for the car and make sure it is the right fit for you.
Are there any age requirements to lease a car?
Yes. Drivers must be between 24 and 65 years old.
